Daniel S. Ko, Founder

Daniel has been an entrepreneur since early 1997. Immediately prior
to QIXO, Daniel was President of Patheo where he teamed up with
a partner who was from the airline consolidator industry to create
the first online consolidator-booking engine in the U.S. Patheo’s
booking engine is now widely used by the top airline consolidators.
Daniel worked closely with the airline consolidators, the
online and traditional travel agencies, the online travelers, and
the CRS's, such as Sabre and Apollo.
Prior to Patheo,
Daniel founded CDROMNOW
where he developed litigation document management software and scanned
documents for law firms. CDROMNOW later partnered with Attorneyetal.com
to develop the first interactive CLE (Continuing Legal Education)
CDROMs to be approved by the state bar to replace live lectures.
With CLEAnywhere, attorneys have been fulfilling their CLE requirements
at home or on vacation. Over the past two years, hundreds of attorneys
across the U.S. have purchased CLEAnywhere.
Prior to CDROMNOW, he practiced corporate tax law at Skadden,
Arps. He has a J.D. from Stanford
Law School and a B.S. with Honors in Applied
Mathematics from Caltech.

Grant Kim, Vice President
of Business Development and Legal Affairs

Grant's long-time interest in travel and the Internet
has naturally landed him among the folks at QIXO. Prior to QIXO,
he was an Intellectual Property Associate at Irell
& Manella LLP. He also served for one year in AmeriCorps in
urban areas of Los Angeles.
Grant graduated from Caltech
with honors with a B.S. in Engineering and Applied Sciences. He
also received a J.D. from Harvard
Law School.

Joshua Macadam, CTO

Josh has spent the last several years researching and developing
internet technologies. He has extensive experience in unstructured
data extraction and interpretation, as well as architecture-independent
parallel distributed computing.
Before joining QIXO, Josh held a position on the Office
XP team at Microsoft, and was Chief Architect at onestop.net, where
he led a team developing commercial learning, commerce, and technology
solutions. He has consulted for companies such as IBM and Disney,
and is an active member of the open-source community.

Gilbert Paik, Vice President of Technology

Gilbert received a B.S degree from California Institute of Technology
in 1997, with emphasis in Computer Science. Prior to graduation,
Gilbert acquired a strong knowledge in system administration by
working for the Solid Mechanics Group at Caltech from 1992 to 1995.
After graduation, he settled in Vancouver, Canada and founded Omnisoft
Communications Inc in August, 1997.
Gilbert launched the service under the name of CANADAWIRED in November,
1997. Omnisoft is now one of the major Internet service providers
in western Canada, offering a full range of servicesm, such as 56K
Dial-Up, ADSL, and E-Commerce Design.

Paul Supkoff, Director
of Product Development

Paul Supkoff has brought his substantial design and production
expertise to QIXO. Paul's broad production experience includes work
at the Sanwa Bank, the Voyager Company, Activision, the Geosphere
Project, the Getty Museum, and the Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific.
He has been a faculty member at the undergraduate and graduate
levels at the Art Institute of Los Angeles and the California Institute
of the Arts. Paul received his Bachelor's degree in Architecture
from the University of California at Berkeley and a Master's of
Fine Arts in Film and Video from California Institute of the Arts.

engineers, many of whom are Caltech graduates with majors in Physics,
Material Science, Applied Mathematics or Computer Science or are
experts in their fields having worked at RedHat, Microsoft, and
Internet startups.
